Last month, Walmart Canada announced it will be reversing course on its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, joining a growing list of businesses retreating on DEI programs in America (and some in Canada).

Organizations are at a crossroads, trying to navigate the current social and political landscape. While some are standing firm in their DEI commitments, others are scaling back. Many leaders are left contemplating how to respond and how to balance the  external climate but also maintain a strong organizational culture.

So if it’s not DEI, what is it? The focus on building inclusive, high-performing teams is a business imperative; that’s no secret. So what does a shift away from DEI terminology, roles and targets mean for this effort?

Join our experts in business and organizational culture for a conversation on what this means and where it may go.
